InvoiceCast started with a simple problem: invoicing shouldn't feel complicated.

Back in 2018, Stan — the founder of InvoiceCast — was working as a freelancer and needed a quick, reliable way to invoice his clients. Like many freelancers, contractors, and small business owners, he wanted something practical: enter the details, generate a clean invoice, download a PDF, and send it to the client.

So he built the first version of InvoiceCast as a free online invoice generator. It was a simple one-page tool with a paper-like invoice layout, designed to help anyone create a professional-looking invoice without signing up, installing software, or learning a complicated accounting system.

That original idea still guides InvoiceCast today.

Over time, the needs of small businesses became clearer. Creating one invoice is useful, but running a business requires more: saved clients you can bill in seconds, reusable products and services, invoice history you can search, taxes handled correctly, custom branding, expense tracking, and a smoother path from invoice creation to payment tracking. Instead of starting from scratch every time, you build a workflow — send invoices by email directly to clients, set recurring invoices for repeat work, and turn logged time into a finished invoice through timesheets, so contractors and the businesses they work with stay in sync.
